On my drives home from work I would sometimes pass by a brightly lit orange restaurant aptly called Orange Whisk. I made a mental note to stop and eat there at some point but I was never able to – until they opened up a branch in BF Homes!
Orange Whisk is a restaurant and patisserie that serves Filipino and international dishes with a gourmet twist. They are also known for their desserts and pastries (which I sadly did not get to try), particularly their Chewy Bun. The place is cozy and inviting, with literal orange whisks cleverly incorporated into the interior design. The wait staff was courteous and our attention was immediately directed to the specials on the board.
If you’ve read blog posts and reviews about Orange Whisk, you’ll realize when you’re there that their menu has evolved and the specials on the board are a way of experimenting if certain dishes will work. I think it’s smart of them to have retained some restaurant favorites while continuing to offer new dishes until they have a selection that encourages patrons to keep coming back for more and more.
On this occasion, we decided to order dishes from the board and ended up with delicious renditions of bagnet with a side of egg and what they call Orange Pasta, which is a combination of red and white cream sauce with some herbs. Both were very good. Hopefully they’ll still be on the board or menu when we come back.
Needless to say, we were highly satisfied customers. 🙂
For those who are interested, Orange Whisk is located on Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes Paranaque. It’s so easy to spot you definitely won’t miss it.
Have you tried Orange Whisk? What are your favorite dishes?
