If you enjoy painting as much as I do, you’ve probably already heard of this place called Sip & Gogh.
For those who haven’t, Sip & Gogh is a paint and sip studio in Quezon City where resident artists help bring out your inner Van Gogh through a step-by-step paint and teach process. While painting, you can sip your drink of choice and munch on some cheese, crackers and fruit.
We went on a Saturday afternoon and the painting of the day was this cherry blossom piece.
Upon arriving, they sit you down in front of your own easel, canvas and set of paints. And in a bit, they serve your drink of choice along with some finger food.
They teach you to paint layer by layer. So in this case, we painted the background first: yellow, then blue, then pink. Then came the foreground: the tree, then it’s branches, then small dots and strokes for the leaves, until it finally looked like a cherry blossom tree.
And then, we were done! The session took about two hours but it will leave you wanting more. Sip & Gogh makes an artist out of everyone! I personally enjoyed watching participants proudly carry their paintings to the front of the studio to have their pictures taken by the logo. I did the same thing! 🙂
If this post has sparked your interest, Sip & Gogh is located on Capitol Hills Drive, Quezon City. Just go to their website to check the painting schedules and make a reservation. One session will cost about P1,000 per head. It’s worth it.
