After watching Limitless, which by the way is a really interesting movie, my friends and I happened upon a charming looking Lebanese place in Silver Spring called Lebanese Taverna Cafe. None of us had ever tried Lebanese food before and thought it would be a good time to find out what it is. We ordered a salad, a sampler platter, and another main dish. Everything was so tasty we gobbled it all up, but surprisingly still had room for crepe at Eggspectation. Lebanese food by the way is eaten with your hands.

Fatteh Blahmeh (lamb): seasoned lamb layered over chickpeas on toasted pita bread, smothered with yogurt sauce, pine nuts and garlic
Lebanese Salad: tomato, cucumber, peppers, mint, onion, lemon garlic dressing
Jon’s Favorite at Eggspectation: strawberries and bananas with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream
